Backorder AlertThe human body was simply not made to sit in a chair 6-14 hours a day! Give
your back a rest with our GeekDesk electric adjustable-height desk frame. This metal desk frame adjusts from 26" to 46.5" in height (including any height in between), via an electric motor (included) allowing for effortless FULL SIT-TO-STAND ADJUSTMENT throughout the day. Operates easily via surface-mount switch controls.
NOTE: This item includes the DESK FRAME *ONLY* -- no top surface is
included.
Beam-style cable manager is included, and runs across the full width of the
frame. Also includes rear casters shown, for easy mobility.
Lift Speed: 1.1" per second.
Frame mount dimensions (i.e. what the top surface mounts to):
61.42" wide x 22" deep
TOPS: Any normal wood or laminate surface desk / table / counter top that will accept screws will do (each leg brace has 14 available holes for mounting the top surface to). IKEA sells a few tops (smaller than our standard one) that customers report work OK with this frame. We also have a number of customers who are buying used hollow-core doors from places like ReStore (Habitat for Humanity's "thrift store") for $10-$30, and then refinishing them to match their office environment, or buying new from a hardware store. For the seriously economy-minded, an old door actually works very well as a surface for these. Ideal dimensions for the top surface are anywhere from 63" x 24" to around 80" x 36" or so; a "standard" size that works really well is 72"x30".
Shipping is per desk frame, to the Lower 48 States and there is no discount on multiple items (namely, because these desk frames ship as two boxes as it is, and there are no savings for us when we ship more than one to a location). Ask for additional fees to HI or AK.
